Welcome to Altruistic Freelancer, an online platform designed to connect businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals with skilled freelancers offering various services. By accessing and using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the Platform. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must immediately cease using the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using or accessing the Altruistic Freelancer platform (the “Platform”), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. These Terms govern your use of the Platform, including the services offered by freelancers (Sellers) and the terms under which users (Clients) engage with them.

2. Platform Use

Altruistic Freelancer allows freelancers (Sellers) to offer services to users (Clients). By accessing the Platform, you acknowledge that:

• For Clients: You are responsible for paying for services you request and ensuring proper communication with Sellers regarding the work to be completed.
• For Sellers: You are responsible for delivering the services you offer in a professional manner, following the terms agreed upon with the Client.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. You also agree to provide accurate and truthful information when registering or interacting with the Platform.

4. Account Registration

To use the services offered on the Platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. You agree to notify Altruistic Freelancer immediately if you believe that your account has been compromised or if unauthorized use of your account occurs.

5. User Responsibilities

By using the Platform, you agree to:

• Clients: Pay for services according to the agreed terms with Sellers. You are responsible for reviewing and approving the work delivered by the Sellers in a timely manner.
• Sellers: Provide services in accordance with the terms of the agreement with the Client. You must communicate clearly with the Client, deliver quality work, and complete the services on time.

You are also responsible for ensuring that any content or materials you submit to the Platform comply with all applicable laws and do not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

6. Payment and Fees

Altruistic Freelancer charges fees for facilitating transactions between Clients and Sellers. The following outlines the payment and fee structure:

• Payment for Services: All payments for services provided by Sellers are made through the Platform. Payments will be held in escrow until the work is completed and approved by the Client.
• Transaction Fees: Altruistic Freelancer charges a transaction fee, which is a percentage of the total amount paid by the Client for services provided by the Seller. These fees are clearly stated at the time of payment.
• Commission Fees: Altruistic Freelancer may charge a commission on the total amount paid by the Client for services rendered, which will be deducted before payment is transferred to the Seller.

7. Disputes and Resolution

If a dispute arises between a Client and a Seller, both parties are encouraged to resolve the issue through direct communication. If the dispute cannot be resolved, Altruistic Freelancer may offer mediation or arbitration services. However, we are not liable for any unresolved disputes, and we strongly advise that all transactions remain on the Platform to ensure protection for both parties.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations while using the Platform.
• Engage in fraudulent activity or provide misleading or inaccurate information.
• Share your account details with others or use another user’s account without permission.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful, harmful, or illegal activity.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.

9. Termination of Access

Altruistic Freelancer reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms and Conditions, engage in fraudulent activity, or if your account is suspected of being used for harmful purposes.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

All content available on the Platform, including text, images, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Altruistic Freelancer or used with permission from third parties. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose, but you do not acquire any ownership rights to the content.

11. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Altruistic Freelancer, its owners, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, arising from the use or inability to use the Platform or its services.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Altruistic Freelancer operates (currently, Canada). Any disputes that arise under or in connection with these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration, following the dispute resolution procedures set by Altruistic Freelancer.

13. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Altruistic Freelancer reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. All changes will be posted on the Platform, and the updated Terms will take effect immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
